October 26th,

Dear Friends,

The year is almost over.  It doesn't seem possible for the time to fly by as fast as it does.  We have had a full year and still
have a lot to do before 2009 gets here.  As we look at the times we are facing and the circumstances of the last month or
so, it looks grim for the financial institutions and big money investors.  That has a tendency to trickle down to the rest of us
or at least it has at other times in our history.   Many folks are anxious and worried about their future.  I don't know what
will happen tomorrow, much less next week, month, or next year.  I do know one thing.  Jesus is and will always be in control
of the ultimate outcome.  He tells us in Matthew 6, not to worry about what we will eat, drink, or wear, because He has
taken care of all of that in the past and will continue to in the future.  The birds of the air have plenty to eat, and the
flowers have more beauty than any clothes we have ever had.  If He takes care of these other things, don't you think He will
take care of us, the ones who are made in His image?  Of course He will. (that is my paraphrase, but you can look it up).  I
know it is easy to get down when things are hard, but James 1 says, "... Count it all joy" and when we persevere through faith,
it builds us up and gives Him glory.  Now is not the time to hold back and wait.  Now is the time to act, move forward, work
hard and give God the glory for the outcome.  I encourage each of you to continue to "Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path." Proverbs 3:5-6.   I
want to encourage you that this is the time to have special meetings and functions in your church and  community to reach
people for Christ.  We have the greatest hope, and the only answer to all that the world needs and we should be working
harder than ever to show that, starting in your very town and out into all the world.  We have just posted our 2009 schedule
and you can see what we already have in the works.  Pick a date and let us come share Christ with you and your church or
community.  Don't wait until the first of the year, the time  is now.  Give the Lord an opportunity to work and then be sure to
give Him the glory.

If you have prayer needs please share them with us.  We love you all and pray for each of you as God lays you on our hearts.
